Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi-Truck in Niles Street Hit-and-Run Crash [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (May 07, 2022) On Friday evening, a pedestrian was killed by a big rig in a hit-and-run crash on Niles Street.

According to the Califonia Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection with Fairfax Road.

Officers say that a semi-truck fatally struck the pedestrian and left the scene after the crash.

The CHP and Kern County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the scene and have not provided additional information at this time.
