Motorcyclist Injured in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on I-10

Santa Monica, CA (June 21, 2022) On Tuesday, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a motorcycle on the 10 Freeway.

Authorities say that the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 3:30 a.m. near the Cloverfield Boulevard on-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a motorcycle rider collided with a pedestrian attempting to cross the freeway.

Moreover, the CHP said that they found the pedestrian dead and possibly struck by other motorists.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the rider to a hospital, the motorcyclist sustained major injuries.

The CHP and the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) are investigating the incident. They have not released additional information at this time.
