Person Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Fifth Street East
Palmdale, CA (September 9, 2023) – On early Friday, a male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries following a Palmdale Boulevard accident.
It was about 1:45 a.m. when the unidentified pedestrian was fatally hit by a silver Chevrolet Camaro near Fifth Street East.
Officers said the pedestrian was running south across Palmdale Boulevard when he was struck by the eastbound vehicle.
The sheriff’s department stated that the driver of a vehicle in front of the Camaro was able to swerve to avoid hitting the pedestrian, however, the Camaro driver was unable to react in time and struck the pedestrian.
The Camaro driver remained at the scene and contacted emergency services right away.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
