Several Injured in Seattle Fatal Bus Collision
Seattle, WA (November 5, 2023) – A woman was killed and several others were injured following a Metro bus collision on 5 Avenue Saturday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened at about 3:45 p.m. in the area of Battery Street.
Seattle Police officers said the red car was southbound on 5th Avenue while the bus was eastbound on Battery Street.
Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided killing a woman on the sidewalk.
The accident report noted that the bus also crashed into a building.
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to extricate the trapped sedan driver. The driver was taken to Harborview in critical condition.
Eleven people sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition.
