Woman Fatally Struck on I-5
San Diego, CA (March 18, 2022) – On Thursday, a female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in an Interstate 5 accident.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says it was about 11:30 p.m. when the accident happened on the freeway’s northbound lanes near the Genesee Avenue exit.
Apparently, officers received a report of the pedestrian walking on the freeway a few minutes before the collision took place. Also, a witness told the troopers that the pedestrian was walking against the traffic in a middle lane.
