FONTANA, CA (July 29, 2021) – Tuesday night, a pedestrian died in a crash on Sierra Avenue and Lytle Creek Road.
 
The incident happened at around 9:18 p.m. when a 49-year-old San Bernardino resident drove a 2020 silver Kia. The driver headed north on Sierra Avenue, south of Lytle Creek Road at around 35 mph.
 
Afterward, the Kia hit an unidentified 54-year-old male pedestrian from San Bernardino. According to reports, the pedestrian walked within the northbound lanes of Sierra.
 
The impact of the crash left the pedestrian with fatal injuries. Moreover, emergency medical personnel declared the person dead on the scene.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t identified why the pedestrian walked in the lanes.
