1 Dead in Wildomar Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 15 and Wildomar Trail
WILDOMAR, CA (January 4, 2022) – Monday morning, a pedestrian died in a crash on Interstate 15 and Wildomar Trail.
The incident occurred at around 10:40 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15, south of Wildomar Trail.
CHP Officer Mike Lassig said that an unidentified man stood on the northbound shoulder.
Then, a 2016 Freightliner truck approached and the man “ran into the right side of the vehicle’s trailer.” As a result, the truck hit the pedestrian, flinging him into the No. 3 lane on the northbound side.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old big rig driver from Victorville suffered no injuries. Also, authorities noted that the man immediately pulled over.
Moreover, when the Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived, they declared the man dead at the scene.
Also, the crash shut down No. 2 and 3 northbound for three hours during a preliminary investigation.
