Coachella, CA (October 1, 2022) On Friday evening, a hit-and-run accident on Cairo Street claimed the life of a male pedestrian.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department say that the fatal pedestrian crash happened at around 10:24 p.m. at the intersection with Cesar Chavez Street.

Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck the man and the fled the scene afterward. Officials say that paramedics transported the victim to a hospital. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.
