Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Cactus Avenue [Moreno Valley, CA]

Moreno Valley, CA (May 26, 2023) – On Thursday, a pedestrian sustained fatal injuries following a traffic accident on Cactus Avenue involving a Riverside County sheriff’s patrol deputy.

The fatal collision happened at about 4 a.m. in the area of Heacock Street, approximately a block from the March Air Reserve Base’s east entrance.

Investigating officers stated that the unidentified pedestrian was crossing Cactus Avenue where there is no marked crosswalk when they were struck by the deputy‘s patrol vehicle which is an SUV.

Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The CHP is investigating the fatal accident on Cactus Avenue.
