Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Metrolink Train Accident near Paxton Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 4, 2019) – A pedestrian died after a Metrolink train accident near Paxton Street on Friday, November 1.
According to reports, at around 5:40 p.m., a southbound train fatally struck a pedestrian at a Pacoima crossing.
Metrolink spokesman Paul Gonzales said that the unidentified victim died at the scene. They found the pedestrian near the intersection of Paxton Street and San Fernando Road.
At around 8:30 p.m., all 79 passengers aboard Train 224 took off the train. Officials transferred them on buses or arranged alternative transportation, said Gonzales.
Service on Metrolink’s Antelope Valley line was stopped for hours. Los Angeles police and coroner’s investigators remained at the scene until 9 p.m.
No other information was available, officials stated.
