Police Investigate Fatal Crash on South Midkiff Road in Midland

Midland, TX (June 10, 2023) – Friday night, a pedestrian died in a crash on South Midkiff Road.

The fatal crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on June 9.

Officers said a truck driving southbound in the inside left turn lane, towing a fifth-wheel flatbed trailer. 

The car and trailer tried to make a left turn, crossed over into the middle of the road and hit a pedestrian who was begging for money from passing cars. The pedestrian was found to have fatal wounds and was proclaimed dead there.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
