Pedestrian Fatally Hurt after San Jose Hit-and-Run Accident
SAN JOSE, CA (August 27, 2019) – A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries after a hit-and-run accident on Fourth Street on Thursday, August 22.
Officers first responded to a report of a body in the road at 2:45 a.m. on Fourth Street and San Fernando Street, San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia stated. The incident occurred across the library at San Jose State University.
According to Garcia said, they are investigating the incident as a fatal hit-and-run. He said that the victim is an adult male. The suspect vehicle fled the area and the driver has not been identified or apprehended.
Santa Clara County coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of his next of kin.
Officials blocked the traffic from the intersection of Fourth and San Fernando streets during the investigation.
