The incident happened at around 12:46 a.m. on Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway
 
According to supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.
 
Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
