LONG BEACH, CA (January 3, 2023) – Sunday night, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Harbor Scenic Drive and Ocean Boulevard.
 
The incident happened at around 11:10 p.m. on Harbor Scenic Drive and Ocean Boulevard.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, a northbound 2013 Nissan Altima struck a male pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway. The vehicle driver then fled the scene after the collision.
 
Moreover, paramedics pronounced the victim, dead at the scene. Then, during the investigation, the 20-year-old hit-and-run driver from Lakewood contacted the authorities.
 
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs, alcohol, speed, or distracted driving played a role in the crash.
