One Killed after Sacramento Car Crash on Roseville Road and Connie Drive
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 23, 2019) — A pedestrian died following a car crash on Roseville Road on Friday, September 20.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, at about 7:47 p.m., officers rushed to the area of Roseville Road and Connie Drive after reports of a pedestrian incident.
When officers arrived, they discovered a man in the roadway with major injuries and a pickup truck involved in the crash. The man died at the scene, police said.
The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
After a primary investigation, police believe that the driver of the pickup truck traveled westbound on Roseville Road. Then the vehicle crashed with the pedestrian in the roadway.
The impact of the crash sent the pedestrian into the eastbound lane of Roseville Road. A second vehicle traveling eastbound struck the pedestrian, officials stated.
The second car then drove to a nearby light rail station and the people inside that car fled the area, police said.
