SAN DIEGO, CA (October 4, 2022) – Sunday night, a pedestrian died in an accident on Fifth Avenue near Elm Street.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. Also, the collision occurred on Fifth Avenue near Elm Street.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound Penske truck veered to the right for still unknown reasons and swiped a parked vehicle. Then, the truck continued driving and went over a raised buffer curb. Then, it struck a male pedestrian who was sitting there. Also, the truck continued traveling after hitting the pedestrian and then struck a building on the east side of Fifth Avenue.
 
Moreover, responders confirmed that the pedestrian died in the incident. Then, paramedics transported the truck driver to a hospital with facial injuries.
