PARLIER, CA (October 2, 2019) – A pedestrian was critical after an accident on Zediker Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Floral Avenue. Based on a report, the pedestrian walked out into traffic and got struck by a pickup truck.
 
The victim was sent to Community Regional Medical Center in a helicopter for treatment and was listed to be in critical condition.
 
The driver remained on the scene after the crash. Police said the investigation is ongoing, but that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision.
