Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash Near Old Bee Caves Road Kills Pedestrian
Austin, TX (September 11, 2024) On Tuesday morning, a person was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on State Highway 71.
According to Austin police, the fatal crash happened at about 7:17 a.m. in the 7300 block of West SH 71 near Old Bee Caves Road.
Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian and fled the scene without rendering aid to the fallen victim.
Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Officials say that the suspect driver is still at large and authorities are actively searching for them and their vehicle.
Police are investigating the fatal crash.
