Tragic Pedestrian Crash on Rainbow Canyon Road Kills Man [Temecula, CA]

CHP Investigates Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash near Rainbow Valley Boulevard

Temecula, CA (November 10, 2023) On Thursday, a Hispanic man in his 60’s lost his life in a tragic pedestrian crash on Rainbow Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened before noon on Rainbow Canyon Road just north of Rainbow Valley Boulevard.

Reports say that a vehicle struck the man walking on the shoulder of the narrow two-lane corridor. Officials say that the vehicle may have been a raised pickup truck, SUV or van.

Officials say that the man was thrown into a bush and was discovered by a passerby. Officials declared the man dead at the scene.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.
