Disastrous Pedestrian Crash on McClintock Drive Kills Woman [Tempe, AZ]

Tempe, AZ (April 22, 2023) On Friday evening, a pedestrian crash on McClintock Drive left a 60-year-old woman lifeless on the road.

Authorities say that the fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened near McClintock Drive and Curry Road.

Officials say that a northbound U-Haul truck was turning west into a private residence near Curry Road when it hit a woman walking on the sidewalk.

Police say that rescuers attempted to save the woman, however, she succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with officials, authorities say that impairment was not a factor in the incident.

Tempe PD is investigating the pedestrian crash and has not released further information at this time.
