According to Tracy Police, the horrific crash happened at about 4 p.m. near Jaguar Run.

Reports say that a Kimball High School student was hospitalized after a car struck him.

Officials say that the accident happened on South Lammers Road near Jaguar Run. Authorities reported that the student, who was on foot, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition as of Friday.

The driver, also a juvenile student, stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. As police examined the crash site, they temporarily closed northbound lanes of South Lammers Road near the school. In response, Tracy Unified School District has provided counselors and a therapy dog for students and staff affected by the incident.
