Gardena, CA (February 12, 2024) Early Sunday morning, a woman was killed in a horrific pedestrian crash on El Segundo Boulevard.

According to the Gardena Police Department (GPD), the pedestrian accident happened at about 3:55 a.m. at the intersection with Vermont Avenue.

Authorities say that a southbound vehicle struck a pedestrian at the crossing of Vermont Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard.

Officials pronounced the woman dead at the scene, officials say that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and waited for authorities to arrive at the scene.

Police are investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
