Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 4000 Sports Arena Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 1, 2024) – Tuesday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on 4000 Sports Arena Boulevard injured 1 person.
The incident happened at 11:16 p.m. as a 54-year-old male pedestrian walked eastbound mid-block at 4000 Sports Arena Boulevard.
Then, a 41-year-old man riding a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle collided with the pedestrian, according to SDPD Officer John Buttle. The impact knocked the motorcyclist off his bike, leaving him unconscious at the scene.
The pedestrian suffered a fractured left femur and other serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Traffic Division officers arrived and began investigating the incident.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
