Suspect Still At Large after San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on 2600 North Street Mary Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 12, 2024) – Sunday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on 2600 North Street Mary Street led to injuries.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Street Mary Street.

According to reports, a black 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe went onto the sidewalk and struck two pedestrians. The victims sustained serious injuries, but it isn’t clear whether they needed medical assistance.

Afterward, the driver left the injured woman, fled the sidewalk, and collided with a parked car across the street.

After the second crash, the driver drove down Valdez Place. Then, they crashed with a fence on the 100 block of Valdez, abandoned the Tahoe between French Place and Valdez, and escaped on foot.

Eventually, officers located the suspect’s vehicle. Also, they suspect that alcohol played a role in the crashes after spotting multiple open beer cans inside the Tahoe.

Also, the authorities haven’t found the driver as of this writing. Meanwhile, they said that the drivers will receive charges, including two counts of collision involving injury and failure to stop and give information.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
