Abilene, TX (October 16, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained injuries and was hospitalized after a crash on Nonesuch Road.
The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. on October 16 at the intersection of Nonesuch Road and South Clack, near the Sedona Apartments.
Police reported that the pedestrian and their dog were crossing the road but failed to yield the right of way, leading to them being struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
A bystander stated that the dog was also hit by the vehicle and appeared to be in distress.
According to police, the dog ran away after the collision but was later found and is being held by Abilene Animal Control until the owner can retrieve it.
