Disastrous Pedestrian Accident on Pico Boulevard Results in Fatality [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (June 8, 2023) On Wednesday, a pedestrian accident on Pico Boulevard kills a 51-year-old man and injured 3 others.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened on 6161 West Pico Boulevard, near La Cienega Boulevard around 5:28 p.m.

Reports say that a black Hyundai sedan drove onto the sidewalk, hitting 3 victims and crashing into a Chase Bank building.

Authorities say that the eastbound Hyundai was turning left on La Cienega Boulevard when the driver swerved to avoid the stalled traffic. Consequently, the Hyundai jumped onto the curve and plowed into the 3 victims, and eventually striking the establishment.

Officials say that the victims were all family members, a 19-year-old male, a 48-year-old female and a 51-year-old male, medics transported the patients to the hospital.

Medics says that the 48-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were in serious condition, the man later died at the hospital, while the teenager is in fair condition.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, the driver stayed at the scene and declined transport to the hospital.

LAPD is investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash.
