SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 4, 2024) – Wednesday night, a devastating pedestrian accident on 20500 Stone Oak Parkway killed a mother and child.

The incident occurred in the 20500 block of Stone Oak Parkway around 8:00 p.m.

According to some witnesses, a driver traveling at a high rate of speed struck a curb and hit the mother and child in a stroller on a crosswalk.

According to police statements, the driver was observed to exhibit signs of intoxication and was subsequently detained at the scene. He was escorted downtown for additional testing and questioning by authorities.

Pending further investigation, the individual may be charged with two counts of intoxication and manslaughter, reflecting the severity of the incident.
