Tragic Pedestrian Accident Near Fort Lowell Claims a Man’s Life [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZ (December 17, 2024) On Saturday evening, a man lost his life after a frightening pedestrian accident near Fort Lowell.

According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the deadly crash happened at around 7:45 p.m. on North First Avenue.

Reports say that the man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection near Fort Lowell and First Avenue.

Officers responded to the 3200 block of North First Avenue near Fort Lowell Road following reports of a pedestrian collision involving a 2016 Mazda 3. Authorities state the man was standing in the northbound median lane of First Avenue when the vehicle hit him.

Tucson Fire Department crews administered aid to the man but, sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed the driver cooperated with the investigation and was not impaired at the time of the crash. No citations or charges have been issued as the investigation continues.
