Man Fatally Struck on Whittier Boulevard, Patrick Lucero Arrested
Whittier, CA (January 04, 2022) – On Friday, an elderly male pedestrian died while officers arrested 54-year-old Patrick Lucero of Whittier in a hit-and-run crash on Whittier Boulevard.
The fatal crash happened at 7:43 p.m. at the intersection with Hadley Street.
Officers said the victim was hit on the road by a black vehicle that immediately fled the scene.
Later on, officers arrested Lucero with suspicion of hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
The authorities said alcohol is not considered a factor in this crash.
