1 Dead in Bow Pedestrian Accident
BOW, WA (February 22, 2019) – An 84-year-old female resident of Bow died after being struck by an SUV while walking across Chuckanut Drive on February 17.
According to reports, Patricia J. Markel was walking across the road outside of a crosswalk just east of Bow. Meanwhile, a driver from Camas slowed down after seeing Markel. However, Markel struck her with the front left corner of their SUV.
Markel was pronounced dead at the hospital. Charges were not made as of this time because troopers believed that the SUV driver has the right of way.
