92-Year-Old Dies in Idyllwild Circle Car Crash

 
Chico, CA (August 6, 2020)– Thursday morning, 92-year-old Patricia Coombes died in a car crash on Idyllwild Circle.
 
The incident happened at around 7:30 a.m., on August 6.
 
According to reports, Coombes was crossing the road, using a walker headed south on Yosemite, when a green Chevrolet made a right turn onto Idyllwild and struck her.
 
The Chevrolet driver identified as a 55-year-old Jiang Junda said the sun was particularly blinding when he was making the turn, and he did not see the woman crossing the street.
 
Moreover, Junda was cooperating with the police and showed no signs of impairment.
 
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Chico Police Traffic Division at 897-4970.
