Driver Injured in Fresno County Fatal Crash
Fresno County, CA (February 28, 2024) – A 24-year-old passenger was killed while a 19-year-old driver was injured in a Clarkson Avenue collision early Tuesday morning.
CHP officers said the collision happened before 5:30 a.m. near Del Rey.
According to the authorities, a Chevy Malibu driven by a 19-year-old on Clarkson Avenue went off the road, and struck vines and a utility pole.
Sadly, the authorities declared the 24-year-old passenger was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened. They declared the passenger deceased at the scene.
Moreover, rescuers airlifted the 19-year-old driver to Community Regional Medical Center.
Police did not say if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
