Old HWY 99 SE Crash Under Investigation

Tenino, WA (March 31, 2024) – A passenger was injured following an Old Highway 99 SE collision Saturday night.

It was around 11:30 p.m. when the head-on collision on happened near Sunset Heights Lane SE.

Investigators said a driver crossed over the centerline and collided with another vehicle.

As a result, the passenger of the vehicle that was hit had to be cut out. The rescuers rushed the injured passenger to an area hospital.

Moreover, a Drug Recognition Expert examined the causing driver and said they were to be too high to evaluate.

The authorities booked the causing driver into jail for vehicular assault after drawing the driver’s blood.

Troopers are investigating.
