Passenger Injured in River Road Fatal ATV Accident [Cloverdale, CA]

Cloverdale Traffic Accident Kills Driver

Cloverdale, CA (July 17, 2023) – On Saturday night, a driver died and a passenger sustained injuries following a River Road fatal ATV accident.

The fatal collision took place past 7 p.m. at a property near Highland Ranch Road.

Investigating officers said two people were riding an westbound ATV on a gravel road. The ATV driver attempted to turn and pass through a gate at a high rate of speed. Unfortunately, the ATV crashed into a wire fence and power pole ejecting both the driver and the passenger.

Emergency responders declared the ATV driver deceased at the scene while the passenger incurred minor injuries in the accident. 

Responding officers said the driver and passenger were not wearing helmets.

Moreover, the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for identifying the deceased. In the meantime, anyone with further details on the River Road fatal ATV accident is asked to reach out to CHP Santa Rosa at 707-588-1400.
