Driver Dies in Riverside State Park Rollover Crash
Spokane, WA (April 14, 2024) – A passenger sustained injuries following a Pine Bluff Road fatal crash Wednesday afternoon.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded before 4:30 p.m. to the deadly vehicle crash near Seven Mile Road at Riverside State Park.
Investigators said the driver of the 2002 Chevrolet pickup driving on Seven Mile Road turned onto Pine Bluff Road.
The vehicle started to fishtail and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver drove off the road and the truck drove down the embankment.
Immediately, the medical team provided medical aid, including CPR, however, the driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The male passenger, on the other hand, incurred minor injuries.
Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a seat belt during the collision.
Reckless driving, possible impairment, and the lack of seat belt use played roles in the deadly collision.
This fatal collision is under investigation.
