Passenger Injured in 6200 Imperial Avenue Deadly Collision [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (August 11, 2024) – A female motorcycle passenger was injured following a 6200 Imperial Avenue deadly collision early Saturday morning.

It was about 12:45 a.m. when the traffic officers attempted to stop on a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle for a suspected traffic violation.

During the stop the authorities determined that the male rider had a felony arrest warrant. 

However, when the officers told the rider that they were arresting him, the rider fled westbound on Imperial Avenue even before the authorities could start a chase.

The speeding motorcycle collided with two parked vehicles while its rider and passenger were ejected. 

The male rider was killed at the crash scene. 

Meanwhile, the rescuers transported the passenger to an area hospital.  She lost her left leg and suffered life-threatening injuries.

Investigating officers do not consider alcohol a factor in the deadly crash.
