Passenger Seriously Injured in Highway 99 Rollover Collision [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (August 14, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon, a female passenger sustained major injuries following a Highway 99 rollover collision.

CHP responded to the crash scene at about 12:14 p.m. near Ashlan Avenue.

Investigating officers said a 25-year-old man was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his 2005 Hyundai Elantra.

The vehicle went up an embankment, struck a tree, and overturned multiple times.

The 25-year-old female passenger was thrown from the vehicle and sustained major injuries. She was transported to an area hospital.

Similarly, the driver and a minor passenger were also taken to an area hospital with cuts and scrapes.

Officers said no drugs or alcohol were suspected in this accident.
