Driver Dies in Vehicle Collision South of Old Redwood Highway
Healdsburg, CA (July 9, 2023) – On Friday night, a Toyota Camry passenger was seriously injured following a Highway 101 fatal collision.
The deadly collision happened at about 7:25 p.m. south of Old Redwood Highway.
According to CHP, the Toyota driver lost control of the vehicle and veered left towards the center median.
Afterwards, the driver then veered to the right, but the car continued out of control and swerved across both lanes. The driver and passenger, both females, were thrown after the car drove off the roadway and rolled. Investigating officers believe both of them were not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.
The driver was declared deceased at the scene while the passenger was rushed to an area hospital with major injuries.
In the meantime, officers are still investigating the cause of the deadly collision south of Old Redwood Highway.
