Passenger Injured in Deadly DUI Crash on Highway 201 [Lake Stevens, WA]

Lake Stevens, WA (November 15, 2024) – A male passenger was injured in a deadly DUI crash on Highway 201 Wednesday night.

It was just minutes before 9 p.m. when the fatal traffic collision happened in Lake Stevens.

Investigators said a Honda sedan was speeding east when it passed through the red light at 91st Avenue NE and drove into a light pole.

The male driver was declared deceased at the scene. 

The passenger was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lake Stevens Police believe intoxication and speed were factors in the collision.
