57-Year-Old Passenger Hurt in Fatal Traffic Crash on Highway 99 [Stockton, CA]

Stockton, CA (September 4, 2024) On Sunday, a 35-year-old female driver died and a 57-year-old female passenger was hurt after a traffic crash on Highway 99.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly solo-vehicle crash happened on southbound Highway 99.

Reports say that both women were on a southbound 2004 Buick Rainier, when the driver lost control after making an unsafe turn when they approached Cherokee Road.

Authorities say that the SUV crashed into a large equipment stored at a demolition contractor, W.C. Maloney, at 4020 Newton Road.

Officials say that both women were rushed to the hospital, the driver was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the passenger suffered minor injuries.

CHP is investigating the fatal crash and has not released additional information at this time.
