SIMI VALLEY, CA (December 27, 2020) – Saturday night, a passenger was extricated after a single-vehicle accident near Tierra Rejada.
 
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. near Tierra Rejada and Village Parkway. It caused the Simi Valley Police Department to announce the shut down of the road in both directions, between Village Parkway and Ridgegate Lane.
 
The closure is generally west of Madera Road. Even so, before 8:00 p.m., the road fully reopened.
 
According to the Ventura County Fire Department and Simi Valley police, the vehicle crashed into a tree.
 
Initially, the firefighters said that they will use heavy equipment to extricate a passenger from the wreckage. However, they managed to free the person without the said equipment.
 
Due to the limited information, the crash remains under active investigation.
