Fatal Vehicle Collision at Mile Marker 6.51
Southern CA (June 9, 2022) – On Wednesday, a male passenger possibly in his 30s died in a solo car crash on Glendora Mountain Road.
The fatal collision happened around midnight and 12:20 a.m. at mile marker 6.51.
According to the investigators, a Diamond Bar man was driving a Mazda Miata south when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle veered to the right and left the road. Then, it became airborne and collided with the side of the mountain.
The car fell 200 to 300 feet.
Unfortunately, the male passenger lost his life at the scene.
On the other hand, the driver freed himself from the vehicle. He climbed up the mountainside to the road and called for help.
Officers say the driver had abrasions to his face, hands, and knees.
Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating the collision at mile marker 6.51. The CHP doesn’t suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.
