Passenger Dies in Interstate 35 Fiery Semi-Truck Collision [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (January 11, 2023) – On Thursday afternoon, a passenger died and a driver sustained injuries in an Interstate 35 fiery semi-truck collision.

The fatal collision took place at around 12:30 p.m. from Loop 410 to southbound I-35.

According to the SAPD, the driver of an 18-wheeler lost control and crashed. As a result, the truck flipped onto its side and started a fire.

Reports say the truck was hauling spools of metal cable.

Luckily, bystanders and first responders were able to help the truck driver to safety. The driver sustained minor injuries.

However, they were not able to get the passenger out of the cab and that person died at the scene.
