Passenger Dies in Highway 101 Collision [Sonoma County, CA]

Sonoma County, CA (October 14, 2024) – A passenger was killed in a Highway 101 collision Saturday afternoon.

CHP officers said it was about 4:30 p.m. when the two-vehicle crash happened south of Canyon Road in Geyserville.

According to the investigators, a Honda was speeding southbound in rainy conditions when it lost control. The vehicle drove through the center median and crashed into a northbound Subaru Outback.

The Subaru was carrying three passengers, including a mother and her baby. The rescuers took two of the passengers to an area hospital in Santa Rosa with unknown injuries. Luckily, the baby in the backseat does not appear to be hurt.

Moreover, the accident report stated that a car landed on its roof. 

CHP officers also reported four male passengers were in the Honda Accord during the collision and one of them died.

Meanwhile, the authorities are conducting a further investigation into the Geyserville deadly crash.
