Francisco Munoz Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on Highway 198

 
Coalinga, CA (August 18, 2020) – On Saturday, a passenger died while the 28-year-old Francisco Munoz of Los Angeles was arrested in DUI crash on Highway 198.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 4:10 p.m. on August 15 near Coalinga.
 
The California Highway Patrol said Munoz lost control of his silver Toyota Corolla while traveling eastbound on the highway.
 
As a result, his vehicle spun onto a dirt embankment and crashed with it. Then, it flipped and came to rest on its wheels on the embankment.
 
His passenger suffered major injuries and died while being transported to an area hospital. Authorities have not released the victim’s name as of yet.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities arrested Munoz and then booked him into the Fresno County Jail. He faces charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
