Route C Vehicle Crash Results in Injuries
Morgan County, MO (July 18, 2024) – Betty Ponder, 80, of Jefferson City, and a 16-year-old, were injured in a Highway 52 collision Wednesday afternoon.
It was about 3:28 when the 2-vehicle crash happened at Route C.
Troopers said Charla Bacon, 62, also of Jefferson City, was driving an eastbound 2012 GMC Terrain with Ponder as her passenger.
Bacon’s vehicle turned into the path of a 2022 Nissan Altima driven by the 16-year-old
Ponder and Bacon were seriously injured in the collision.
The medical team airlifted Ponder to University Hospital. Bacon was transported via ground ambulance to the same hospital.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
