One Trapped in Car after Accident on Intersection of North Glade Road and Selph Landing Road
PASCO, WA (February 19, 2018) – One driver was trapped inside of his vehicle after a car crash on the intersection of North Glade and Selph Landing roads.
According to Franklin County Deputy, Darrell Chambers, a late-model Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Glade, when it was hit broadside by a westbound Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The Tundra had just pulled away from a stop sign at the intersection; the driver stated that he could not see the cross traffic when entering the intersection and crashing into the sedan.
Firefighters from the Franklin County Fire Department used heavy equipment to force open the driver’s door, and extricate the victim from the vehicle. Both drivers and the two passengers sitting in the Corolla were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
All injuries were non-life threatening. No other information on the identities or conditions of the people involved in this incident have been released.
When stopped at an intersection, it is important to look look for oncoming traffic before moving forward. By driving cautiously, accident and injuries on the road can be avoided. Keep yourself and others safe, and remain aware behind the wheel.
