Female Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Two Vehicles in Paradise
PARADISE, CA (January 12, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal bike accident on Elliott Road and Almond Street, involving two cars around 7:08 PM on Friday night.
A female bicyclist was riding eastbound down Elliott lane, when she was hit from behind by an eastbound motorist, 70-year-old Donna Mikel. The woman was then thrown from her bike onto the westbound lane and hit by another car, driven by 21-year-old Jessica Raschka.
When officials arrived at the scene, the biker was pinned under the vehicle, and pronounced dead on the scene. No other injuries or damages were reported.
Elliott Rd. was closed for several hours between Skyway and Maxwell Dr. as Paradise Police investigated.
