27-year-old Veterinary Nurse Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Collision near Burton Street
PANORAMA CITY, CA (October 8, 2018) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Burnet Avenue, early Monday morning. The deceased victim was later identified as 27-year-old veterinary nurse, Pamela Ramos. Her place of residence was not immediately disclosed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 2:45 AM near Burton Street. Reports stated that the victim was walking her neighbor’s dog when she was struck by a black Chevrolet Camaro that was traveling northbound on Burnet Avenue.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the woman in critical condition. She succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on site, while her neighbor’s dog was not injured in the incident.
The unidentified driver stopped after the collision, called 911, and cooperated with officers during their investigation. Investigators said they don’t think the driver was speeding or under the influence at the time of the crash. An investigation is ongoing to determine the contributing factors, and no other information has been released to the public at this time.
