47-Year-Old Woman Killed in Metrolink Train Accident Near Balboa Boulevard in Northridge
NORTHRIDGE, CA (January 25, 2018) – A woman who died after being struck by a Metrolink train in Northridge has been identified by the coroner’s office.
The victim, 47-year-old Pamela Kruse, was struck by a Metrolink train at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kruse succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene of the crash.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the coroner’s office, the incident occurred near the 16900 block of Roscoe Boulevard near Balboa Boulevard. The location is near the Home Depot on Roscoe and the northernmost part of the Van Nuys Airport. No other deaths or injuries were involved in the crash.
Passengers were stranded on-board several hours after the crash, until around 10:30 PM, according to Metrolink.
